Apr 12, Buttala: An gang has fired to death five villagers at Mahagodayaya along the Buttala-Moneragala road at about 7:30 p.m. , military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.
Buttala police said there were two children among the victims. At least two others have been injured due to this attack, Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara said.
Buttala police suspect a gang of LTTE cadres has carried out the attack. The Buttala Police are continuing further investigations.
